Our Story
SERVING THE COMMUNITY & FAMILIES SINCE 1849:

The Benefits of Our Church

When you join Paradise Church, you become part of an over 200-strong family that worships in a sanctuary filled with warmth from its newly painted walls, new pews, and flooring, all renovated in 1996. Set in a safe, rural setting on 16 acres of land, our church offers abundant space for fellowship and worship, with a seating capacity of 160. Our church's facilities extend beyond the sanctuary, featuring a Fellowship Hall with a full kitchen, a library, a choir room, Sunday school classrooms, and the pastor's office with an adjacent parlor. JOIN OUR WELCOMING CHURCH COMMUNITY:

Your New Spiritual Home

When you step outside the doors of Paradise Church, you'll discover an outdoor pavilion and worship center, a nature trail, and a playground for our younger members to enjoy. Our location is not just spiritually fulfilling but practically ideal too. We're in the heart of several excellent school districts and surrounded by communities offering very affordable housing options. At Paradise Church, we offer more than just a place to pray — we provide a spiritual home. Come worship with us this Sunday or reach out for more information or to schedule a consultation with our pastor.

READ THE STORY OF PARADISE CHURCH:

Our Church's History

Our church's history begins in the year 1849. A meeting was held between the Lutherans and the Reformed to erect a meeting house. Alith Bieber was the chairman of the meeting. He was a Lutheran.

They named a slate of officials for the church consisting of two elders from the Lutheran Church, Jacob Wansettler & John Bieber, two elders from the Reformed Church, Jacob Lynn & Adam Sinning, two deacons from the Lutheran Church, Elith Bieber & John Hawn, and two deacons from the Reformed Church, John Messerly & Louis Thoman.

George Messerly, from the Reformed Church, and Jacob Beard, from the Lutheran Church, made up the building committee. Three trustees, John Vonogle, Louis Thoman, and Abraham Miller, were appointed to see after the land for the burying ground and to erect a meeting house.
